Laguna de Medina Sidonia – bird calendar

When to visit

The optimum time to see wintering species is between December and February/March, although many remain for a good while after that. The summer visitors usually begin to arrive from mid-February and the breeding season is well underway by mid-April. This is a good time to visit as the weather is warmer, the days are longer and the maximum number of species are present.
